Hi everyone,
I hope that you have all had a great holiday break and a Happy New Year! As strange as this may sound, I am very thankful for 2008. The challenges that Tasha and I have had with medical issues have been very frustrating, yet also very enlightening.
2009 is going to be very medically hard, yet I have so much confidence in myself, my incredible wife Tasha and amazing son Talyn, my family and friends, the medical team that I am very fortunate to have access to, and the incredible support from the public that I often sit back and go WOW!!!!!
2009 is going to be a GREAT YEAR!!
I wish all of you and everyone around you the very best for 2009 and for many years after that!!!

Thanks Ryan,
We have certainly had a good Canadian holiday so far. The cold is a bit of a shock to our systems but we are coping nicely.
BTW...Dave could have been golfing the famous Old Course, St. Andrews on New Year's Day. Here in Westbank, golfers themselves would disappear in the snow, never mind their colored golf balls. No regrets, though!
Like you, we are thankful for 2008. Still, you continue to amaze us with your upbeat attitude in spite of all that you and Tasha have been through.
It's good to know that you are approaching 2009 with confidence in yourself, in your family and friends, and in the medical team that is treating you. We are also pleased to hear that the public support you are receiving is so "incredible". WOW is right!
May 2009 be the GREAT YEAR that you predict. Please know that we will be walking "Ryan's Path" with you in spirit and support.
Sincere well-wishes,
Louise and David
